Start with Epic’s instructions for your device. Fortnite installation routes differ between desktop, mobile and consoles, and mobile availability can depend on region. This site does not distribute a Fortnite installer.
Windows PC
Epic’s launcher installation guide explains the PC route: install the Epic Games Launcher, sign in, locate Fortnite and install it from the library. Allow the download to finish before starting the game.
Android, iPhone and iPad
Use Epic’s current mobile installation page to select the route offered for your device and region. As checked October 30, 2026, Epic lists Android store options and region-specific iOS options. Do not assume that a route available in another country is available on your device.
Consoles
Search your console’s official store and verify the product’s publisher before installing. Read the supported-device information and required storage shown there; download size and device requirements can change with updates.
When installation stops
Check free storage, whether the download is paused, and the exact error message. Then use Epic Games Support for that error. Repeatedly downloading a different installer is unlikely to resolve a storage or compatibility problem.
Free installation does not mean every optional item or purchase inside a game is free. Review the product screen before confirming a purchase, and use official account recovery if you cannot sign in.
